If you did not know yet, Apple and U2 are giving away the new album from the Irish band called Songs of Innocence to the more than 500 million iTunes users as part of a related to the launch of the iPhone 6 and Apple smart watch Watch promotion.
The album can be heard via streaming or download from the iTunes store, but find the disk can be somewhat misleading if you know where to look. These are the steps to follow to download it for free.

There are two slightly different methods depending on whether you use iTunes on a desktop or on a device with iOS.
